PROGRAM DETAILS
This amazing program will give students an unforgettable moment to learn about the history, economy, culture and politics of Tanzania and Zanzibar, will also learn about poaching in Tanzania and measures taken to control poaching.
They will also get a chance to explore Zanzibar which was the main slave trade post of East Africa.

• Dolphin Adventure (Zanzibar: swim with dolphins in the Indian Ocean)
• Meserani reptiles sanctuary and the Masa cultural centre.
Day 2: After lunch at 1:00 pm, you will do Dar es salaam city tour. At 4:00 pm at the hotel lobby, you will have lecture Tanzania history and struggle for Independence and the legacy of Mwalimu Nyerere.
At 6:00 pm you will have dinner at the near restaurant in Dar es salaam city. Overnight at sunrise beach resort.
Day 3: Will have breakfast at 7:00 am, at around 8:15 will have lecture Trade and Tanzania economy.
9:30am depart to Bagamoyo to visit Arab fort, Slave port in central bagamoyo and the crocodile sanctuary, lunch will be in the car carried from sunrise hotel. At 3:00pm depart Bagamoyo for Dar es salaam. Dinner at 6:00pm.
Day 4: Have breakfast at 7:15am, at 8:00 depart for Dar es salaam university and tour at the university. At 9:30am will do Student forum (Life in Tanzania). At 10:45 am field research (westernization and Americanization). 11:30 depart for hotel. 12:30pm Lunch at the hotel , 1:30 depart for coco beach.
6:00pm Dinner at the hotel. 9:30pm Night life at Maisha club.
Day 5: 9:00a.m Arrive at Julius Nyerere Int’l Airport, Dar es Salaam (Check in flight to Arusha; exchange money). 11:20a.m Depart on flight to Kilimanjaro, 12:40 p.m Arrival at Kilimanjaro. 2:30 Check into Hotel in Arusha (lunch at hotel).
3:00 pm Lecture: Tanzanian Cultural Practices and the Significance of Kilimanjaro. 4:00pm Depart for Tour of Arusha (Central Market). 5:30 Shop for snacks at super market. 6:30 Dinner at Hotel.
Day 6: 8:00am Breakfast at Hotel. 8:30am Depart for Kilimanjaro Front Gate (pack lunch). 9:30am See Mt. Kili monkeys & waterfall, lunch will be at Kilimanjaro. 11:45 Bus departs to Moshi School to donate supplies. 4:00pm Lecture: Tourism, Eco-Tourism, Game Reserves . 6:00pm dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: 7:30am breakfast at the hotel. Â 8:30am Depart for Meserani Reptile Park &Maasai Cultural Center for the tour. 10:15am Tour Maasai Cultural Center (see Maasai dance; camel ride). 1:00 lunch at hotel.
2:30pm Lecture: Poaching, Conservation, Wildlife Protection. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 8: 5:00am breakfast at the hotel. 5:30 Depart for Ngorongoro Crater (Serengeti Ecosystem). 11:00 Lunch at 2nd Crater Gate (box lunch). 11:15am Tour Crater Floor (lions, water buffalo, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, gazelles, wild boar, hyenas, hippos, rhinos). 3:00pm Leave Crater. 4:30 Stop at Souvenir Shop. 8:00pm dinner at the hotel.
Day 9: Have breakfast and very early morning, lunch at 10:45am and then depart hotel at 11:15 for the flight to Zanzibar. Arrive Zanzibar at 3:05pm check in Tembo hotel. At 5:00 Walking Tour of Stone Town; Lecture: the History and Culture of Zanzibar. 6:00pm dinner Zanzibar Seafood Bazaar City Center.
Day 10: After breakfast depart for the tour of Slave market, House of wonder, Portuguese fort and the fish market. 2:30pm depart stone town for field research political and economy of Zanzibar.
5:30 pm dinner at the restaurant in Stone town.
Day 11: Will have breakfast at the hotel at 8:30am. 9:00am Depart Lodge for Prison Island (see 150-year old giant tortoises). 11:00am Lecture: Zanzibar sea life and the giant tortoise: 12:00pm Picnic on Island (Box Lunch). 1:00pm will snorkel outside the prison Island and later depart for stone town. 6:00pm dinner. 9:30pm Zanzibar nightlife.
Day 12: After breakfast will depart to the South of Zanzibar (Kizimkazi Village) to Swim with the dolphins. At 10:00am depart to the spice farm for spice tour. Lunch at the spice farm then go to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: This will be a free day, students can walk around on their own.
Day 14: Will depart hotel for airport back home.
