4 Days Private Kenya Safari

A fantastic 4 days Safari to Kenya’s premier game reserve – the Masai Mara. This Masai Mara Safari departs from Nairobi, Kenya where you will proceed via the Great Rift Valley with its spectacular views and on wards to the beautiful Masai Mara Reserve. Spend your days in the vast Masai Mara Park in search of the abundance of wildlife. Masai Mara is especially well-known for its large cat population and is home to the annual Wildebeest Migration, a wildlife epic like none other on earth. The unforgettable Masai Mara Safari ends back in Nairobi.

DAY 1 – NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

You’ll depart from Nairobi in the morning for the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Along the way you’ll stop at the Escarpment View Point for a stunning view of the Great Rift Valley with its lakes and volcanic terrain. From here, you’ll descend into the Great Rift Valley for your visit to Lake Nakuru National Park. While the park’s flamingos have since moved on, you’ll find that this is one of the best places in Kenya to spot buffalo and rhinoceros. You’ll arrive in time for lunch and then set out on a game drive. Not only will you see the park’s huge variety of birds, but you’ll also get to spot lions, leopards, zebras, baboons, waterbuck, and more. The park is also home to both the white and the black rhinoceros, making it a real treat.

DAY 2 – LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA

It wouldn’t be a safari in Kenya without a visit to its most famous park, and you’ll depart for the world-renowned Masai Mara immediately after breakfast. Part of the vast Serengeti plains, the Maasai Mara plays host to a chapter of the famous Wildebeest Migration each year as 1.7 million wildebeest and more than 500,000 zebras and antelopes cross the swollen Mara River in hopes of finding safety on the Masai Mara’s sweeping plains. Even when the Wildebeest Migration is not occurring, you’ll still have the chance to see the entire Big Five as well as Kenya’s largest variety of animal life. After lunch at your lodge, you’ll head out for an afternoon and sunset game drive in search of big cats, elephants, giraffes, and more.

DAY 3 – MAASAI MARA

Wake before the dawn for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness a Maasai Mara sunrise. After a quick cup of coffee, you’ll head out into the park to watch as the sun sets fire to the savannah and the big cats take advantage of the morning cool to search for a meal. Alternatively, you can take to the skies with a hot air balloon safari that will see you soar above all of the action before setting down on the plains for a champagne breakfast among the wildlife. You’ll then return to your lodge for a late breakfast before packing a picnic lunch and heading back out into the park for a day-long exploration of the Maasai Mara. You may also opt to relax at your lodge in the morning, enjoy lunch on site, and then head out again in the afternoon once the weather has cooled off a bit.

DAY 4 – MAASAI MARA – NAIROBI

You’ll bid farewell to the Masai Mara and set off after breakfast for Nairobi.
